Anders joined the firm in 2000, has been a transaction partner since 2002 and was the chairman of Thommessen from 2010 to 2014. His practice includes a wide range of M&A and equity capital markets work as well as financial restructuring, acting for corporate clients, PE firms and leading investment banks.

Anders is consistently ranked in tier 1 in Norway within both Corporate/Capital Markets and M&A. He is also consistently ranked among the three best M&A lawyers in the annual ranking of the financial newspaper Finansavisen (Kapital) .

  1. M&A experience

    Anders advised Vår Energi in connection with the acquisition of ExxonMobil's licenses on the NCS, Oslo Børs VPS Holding in connection with the take-over by Euronext, Pioneer Property Group in connection with the sale of Pioneer Public Property and Pioneer Management, Norvestor in connection with its acquisition of Stamina Group, SafeRoad and Nordic Capital in connection with the sale to FSN, Storebrand in connection with its acquisition of Skagen, Norsk Hydro in connection with its acquisition of the bauxitt business of Vale against consideration in cash and new shares in NHY, BP in connection with BP's sale of BP Norge to Aker BP against consideration in cash and new shares in Aker BP, Storebrand in connection with its acquisition of SPP from Handelsbanken, Wintershall in connection with its take-over of Revus, Ratos in connection with its acquisition of Plantasjen, Norvestor in connection with its sale of ABAX, Oslo Børs in connection with the merger between Oslo Børs and VPS and Norsk Hydro in connection with the establishment of Sapa by Norsk Hydro and Orkla. Anders has advised on more than 150 M&A transactions.

  2. ECM experience

    Anders advised on the IPOs of Shelf Drilling, Norbit, Webstep, SafeRoad, ArcusGruppen, Europris, Multiconsult, Bergen-Bio, Odfjell Drilling, Tanker Investments, Statoil, Songa Offshore, Renewable Energy Corporation, REC Solar, Trefoil, African Petroleum, Odfjell Invest I, Odfjell Invest II, Austevoll Seafoods, Bridge Energy, Interoil, Aker Solutions, RomReal and Discovery Offshore. He has also advised on all of the large rights offerings in recent years, including the rights offerings in Kongsberggruppen, Storebrand, DNB, REC, Norsk Hydro and Det norske oljeselskap (now Aker BP). He has acted for both issuers and managers/underwriters in a number of private placements.
