Solveig joined Thommessen in 2003 and is a partner in the transaction group. She advises clients on private and public M&A transactions as well as capital markets transactions, and focuses particularly on PE clients and investment banks.

Solveig is ranked as a "Leading Individual" in Capital Markets and "Next Generation Partner" in Commercial, Corporate and M&A in Legal500, and ranked in Capital Markets: Equity in Chambers & Partners.   1. ECM experience

    Solveig advised on the IPOs of SATS, Norbit, Ice Group, Shelf Drilling, Webstep, SafeRoad, Arcus, BergenBio, Europris, Multiconsult, Odfjell Drilling, Tanker Investments, Selvaag Bolig and African Petroleum.

    She further advised on the large rights issues in DNB, Storebrand and Det norske oljeselskap (now Aker BP) and numerous private placements by companies listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

  2. M&A experience

    Solveig advised Norvestor in connection with the sale of ABAX and the acquisition of Stamina Group, BP with the sale of BP Norge to Aker BP, Ratos with the acquisition of Plantasjen, SafeRoad og Nordic Capital in connection with FSN's takeover of SafeRoad, Reiten with the acquisitions of Competentia, Con-Form, Brubakken and Malthus and the sale of Blueway, Norsk Hydro in connection with the establishment of SAPA as a joint venture between Norsk Hydro and Orkla, and Storebrand in connection with its acquisition of SPP from Handelsbanken.
